This project was initially a series of text messages between me and some friends from back home. I had jokingly considered writing something like this before (my roommate stories are a great way of avoiding small talk) after many conversations with people about them, and finally got to kind of doing this. This specific project is just a way of finalizing a new perspective that I have on my living situations throughout the years. Initially, this was a failed satire, then it was a failed open letter, and now it's a memoir. Maybe one day it'll be a book, who knows? It's been fun to reminisce and to be able to go about things from a happier, more mature perspective. And that's exactly what this is: a way of reminiscing from a happier, more mature perspective. So, this is my Gateway project: it's a memoir about my first two years of college.
